Casual Outfits for Spring

Sunday, March 10

Recently I have heard about a little competition the people over at MONEYSUPERMARKET are holding. They are giving the winner £1000 to spend on a spring/summer 2012 wardrobe. If you know me then you will know I love to shop although I never have the money. As part of their #PASSIONFORFASHION COMPETITION they are asking you to build three different looks on three themes. I have chosen the casual theme because I always feel like I never have nice casual clothes to throw on and this is what I've come up with.

Shirt- dorothyperkins- £29. Skirt- Amazon- £5.80. T-shirt- awear- £17. Shoes- Converse- £42 Tights- boohoo.com £7.98 Hat- Topshop- £33 Bag- asos- £25

I have created this first look around a few things I have been wanting for a while now- a nice red/marroon skater skirt and a denim shirt.
I have paired it will black tights because not only will they keep you warm now the weather seems to have turned far colder but I think they make an outfit less formal. I am a fan of layering so i choose this cropped T-shirt which would be worn under the shirt to keep warm but if it gets to hot the shirt could be taken off and the T-shirt would still match the skirt. I picked out maroon converses because they have to be a staple of every shoe collection. I am not big on accessorizing (because i am not very good at it) so I have picked out one of the very pretty and girly animal bags from asos and this black topshop hat which will finish the outfit off.
Jeans- H&M- £20 Jumper- Newlook- £15 Shirt- H&M- £15 Bag- asos- £39. Boots- River Island- £25

My second outfit was created around this asos bag- which I have been lusting after for a while now. Nothing says pull on easy fashion like a nice pair of skinny jean and I would defiantly recommend this pair from H&M. Keeping with trends of this season I have chosen this semi-chunky knit jumper and a plain white skirt to wear underneath and these 'cowboy' style ankle boots. I have decided on this outfit because it is more realistic to what people would throw on everyday.

Shorts- Levi- £41 Jumper- H&M- £3.00 Tshirt- buckle.com- £11 Tights- zalando.co.uk- £25 Shoes- Converse- £37
Nothing says summer like a good pair of vintage Levi shorts and because it is almost always cold in scotland and I have my  legs I have teamed them with a nice wolly pair of grey tights and this fun tree T-shirt. I think this 'slouchy' jumper add to the relaxed look of the outfit. A pair of converses mean that you can go out walking in this outfit or any sort of outdoor activity for summer days.
