Food and Flower Festival

Shirt- Newlook Jumper- Primark Cords- H&M Shoes- Converse

Do you ever through something to the back of the wardrobe threatening to never wear them again? Well thats what I did with these cords a year or two ago because they made me feel fat (I know I'm not but you know when clothes make you feel that way?) However I pulled them out again last saturday to wear them to the food and flower festival and got many compliments (from my mum) so I think I will have to make more of an effort to style them now it's autumn again. I really like this jumper but I feel it looks a bit weird without a collar so I teamed it with the only white shirt I own. I'm not sure I'm keen on the look but I was running out of time and went with it anyway. I think it is growing on me though- what do you think? How do you wear knit wear like this? Sadly it ended up being quite a chilly day so I wore my jacket anyway.

Mum and I spent a good few hours wandering round the show judging other peoples handcrafts, flower arrangements, vegetables and cut flowers. The huge colourful flowers are so beautiful and fill the tents with the prettiest scent and some of the floral displays obviously had a lot of work put into them. The one pictured about which had a taxi in cooperated didn't even win first prize. They must have been gutted.

There is not much else I can say about the show apart from what I already said in my week in pictures post yesterday. As you can see my cake ended up being a bit of a pancake (probably didn't cook it long enough) so it didn't place in the competition. My dad however did get a first and two thirds in the beginners categories for his honey which meant he won the cup! So saturday was spend at the flower festival looking round the exhibits and commenting on the standards of the handy crafts and floral display sections. Sadly it was quite a cold day so mum and I got tired and a little bored towards the end. We did treat ourselves to some jewllery and then bought some cakes for the car home.
