My week in pictures #85

Monday, September 15

(From top left) Made myself some chicken pies - because I didn't have a pie dish I used muffin tins. Mondays pre-going-out selfie. Went for what ended up being a really long walk on Tuesday but I did find this pretty cool statue. Perri and tatty teddy and settling into my new bed. Cascada on Wednesday was pretty intense. A classic pre-drinks selfie. Collected my first lot of handbooks from physics. An amazingly lovely presents and card from my boyfriend made me feel all emotional.
Freshers week has been one of the craziest (but amazing) weeks of my life. Seven nights out in the space of eight days with girls I didn't know but feel like I've known forever. During this week people I'd never even heard of now come up in everyday conversation and dare I say it are almost becoming friends? The majority of people I've met here in Aberdeen have been lovely, friendly and I've chatted to so many of them.

It has also been one of the toughest weeks in Scott and Is relationships. With uni registration things to do and freshers nights out I've had no time to make plans however on Monday I get did get the bus into town to meet him for lunch which was nice and reminded us we aren't to far apart. Monday was also the only night during freshers that I stayed in. I'd come down with the dreaded freshers flu and just needed a little time to recover.

My days were almost all the same with freshers fairs (and stacks of condoms!?), uni registration and course choice meetings then getting ready to go out at night. I've been to a mixture of  flat parties and the clubs in town which has been a lot of fun. I won't bore you with the details because they are a little hazy in my own mind.

On sunday, after a week and a half, Scott and I finally managed to get to spend the whole day together. We walked down the beach to wimpy so he could get some food to cure his hangover then went to tesco (where I spent a fortune) and then back to the flat so he could see it. We made lasagne for tea which was amazing then lay in bed and watched the final two episodes of Hells Kitchen USA - I couldn't be happier about who won too. Despite promising not to cry when Scott left me which the most beautiful card I couldn't help myself. He really is perfect for me! I was so happy to be tucked up in bed by 9pm and didn't even feel guilty for not getting this out on Sunday.

For those of you who are still to start uni I wish you the best of luck and embrace freshers it really is a lot of fun! For everyone else I hope you have had a really good weekend.

  1. It looks like you've had an amazing freshers week Claire! I'm very jealous haha. It's been 5 years since I had mine (which makes me feel crazy old!) but I can still remember it being one of the most exciting weeks of my life!
