Delicious Chocolate Brownies

Tuesday, May 21

Looking at my blog I can see I've not done a baking post in a while. I made this for a first time a few weeks ago but I will defiantly make it again. These brownies promise to be soft and creamy, made with dark chocolate and have a texture like truffles. Tasty!

Ingredients:
240g of dark chocolate
100g of unsalted butter
3 eggs
135g golden caster sugar
55g of plain flour
coco powder for dusting

This is a really simple recipe. First of all I started by melting the butter and the chocolate in a bowl over a pot of simmering water. It will need stirred and then left to cool.

Secondly cream the eggs and the sugar together in a bowl. I did this with an electric whisk but it can be done by hand with a bit more effort. You then need to sift the flour into the bowl and fold it in. Once this is done you can fold in the melted chocolate until it is all smooth.

Pre heat the oven to 150˚C. Pour this mixture into a brownie tin (about 18 cm square) and bake in a preheated oven for 15 minutes. Once it is ready leave it to cool before dusting it with coco powder. As you can see I served it with ice cream.
