Heather Bothy By Anya Simmons*

Mothers Day has snuck up on me this year and if you're like me and would rather wait for the perfect present for your Mum then maybe you haven't made your choice of gift either. Today's post comes in collaboration with Wychwood Art who have a large selection of Art under £500.

After browsing their website I choose this print by Anya Simmons because the Heather Bothy reminded me of somewhere my family used to go for walks/bike rides in the Scottish highlights. The colours and textures that come through in a small print are beautiful.

When it arrived I was really impressed with how well the print was mounted so the only thing I need to do is pop it in a frame before I gift it to my Mum. I always think that giving someone you love a unique gift is a nice touch and you can't do better than a piece of artwork.

It wasn't easy to choose a print from Wychwood Art because they have so much to choose from. They represent over 350 contemporary artists and offer a free art advisory service for the artists they represent.

Above I've picked out another couple of prints I really like - the harbour scene is from Anya Simmons again and I have really nice memories of Crail harbour last summer. Linocut designs are always something that jump out at me and I love animals so I think this Puffin would be a really good choice too.

Would you choose a print from Wychwood Art for your Mum?
