A Red Checked Shirt Dress

Since this shirt dress arrived at my door, well I had to go to the post office, it has barely been off my back. Checked shirts used to be a staple in my wardrobe and since rediscovering my love for leggings it felt like a shirt dress would be an essential. Kind of similar to this look a few years ago actually.

This is my fourth look in collaboration with Apricot and I couldn't be more impressed with the quality. It is so lovely and soft for the first day I felt lovely and hugged in it. It was a tough call between the dress I choose, this shirt dress or this one. I wish I could justify purchasing the rest too...

To me leggings always seem the most appropriate way to style a dress that would be too short for tights. Thinking about it now this dress would also go with my light wash skinny jeans.
