5 Things That Made Me Happy This Week #38

Wednesday, December 21

It's Christmas week and I'm finished work for the year so there is a lot to be happy about. Work has been difficult for the last few months so I've made sure to fill my time outside with lots of fun activities to take my mind off it. So here are some of the things I've been up to in the last couple of weeks.

1. Visiting a Makers Market with my Mum

My mum and I spent a couple of Saturday's together recently but the highlight for me was going along to 'Clay' at Hospitalfield House. A makers market dedicated to local potters - there were so many lovely things but I can away with the mugs pictured over. Something to treasure!

2. My Work Christmas Meal

It's crazy when you think that the last Christmas meal/night out I went on was in 2019... It was great to be back getting dressed up and doing something social with my colleagues. I loved my outfit but that will be a separate outfit next week.

3. Finishing my New Me Made Dress

A few months ago I bought myself my own sewing machine on Vinted. My mum has always sewn and now I have a sewing machine of my own I've been bitten by the sewing bug again and have made my first dress in almost 10 years. I'm sure it will feature in it's own blog soon.

4. Winter in Animal Crossing

As soon as the snow started falling in Animal Crossing I've felt inspired to transform my island into a winter wonderland. One morning last week I decide to build a little ice rink near my town - so cute!

5. Festive Baking

I love a festive bake so I always try to start near the beginning of December so I can fit as much in as possible. So far I've made chocolate candy cane cookies and a stollen with a few more planned over the holidays including a big bake for Christmas Day dessert.
